Players will have the opportunity to sign up for instructional clinics that will consist of 2 hour sessions with Tim Mayotte beginning at 9am. The final instructional session will take place between 11am-1pm. The day will conclude with a Doubles exhibition between 1:00pm-2:00pm featuring Tim Mayotte and Milford Indoor Tennis Teaching Professionals. Snacks and refreshments will be served for all participants.
Tim Mayotte learned his serve and volley game playing on the public courts of Forest Park, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Mayotte played tennis for Stanford University in the early 1980's and won the NCAA singles title in 1981. Tim spent four years in the top ten in the 1980’s reaching a career high of #7 in the world in 1988. He won 12 career ATP singles titles recording wins over Agassi, McEnroe, Connors, Edberg, Becker and Chang. He also won the silver medal in Men’s Singles at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. Mayotte was inducted into the USTA/New England Hall of Fame in 1996.
Angelo A. Rossetti comes to Milford Indoor tennis from Yale University Adult Tennis and Summer Camps. He was a Tennis Pro at North Haven Health and Racquet in North Haven, Connecticut prior to joining Yale. He is currently ranked #3 in Men’s Open Doubles in USTA New England with his twin brother Ettore. He attended the University of Connecticut where he played Division 1 for the UCONN men’s tennis team in singles and doubles. Rossetti is USPTA certified , in 2005, won the USTA New England Sportsmanship award.
The cost for registration is $75 for each (2) hour clinic. Registration forms are available at www.cttennis.com or may be picked up at Milford Indoor Tennis.
